The Most Effective Method To Prepare Gluten Free Sweet Potato Pie

Everyone loves sweet potato pie but to prepare it gluten free is a bit difficult if you follow the traditional method as it is a bit complex in nature. You will have to wait for hours to make the dough and then start the process which will take a long time and these days time is the only thing that you don't have in bulk. In order to make gluten free sweet potato pie the easy way, all you have to do is to buy gluten free pie crust mix and just follow the instructions on the package.

You will need to prepare the dough according to the given instructions on the package and set the dough aside for couple of hours. In some recipes, the pie crust is pre-baked to give it an extra crusty flavor before filling it. While other recipes indicate that everything goes in oven at the same time.

The potato filling is made by boiling potatoes and then mixing all the other required ingredients to add flavor and taste. Instead of boiling, you could try putting them in the microwave as it will make the process even more quicker. Just peel of the skin and cut them into cubes and place them in your microwave for about seven minutes.

Some recipes don't advise you to cut or peel the sweet potatoes before putting them in the microwave but if you put them as it is, they will take a bit longer to cook and that could be time consuming. Even when they come out of the microwave you still need to wait for them to cool down so that you can peel off their skin otherwise they'll be too hot. You could spare time here by simply peeling and cutting them before you place them in microwave for cooking.

The next step is to roll out the pie crust and thinly lay it in the baking tin. Pour the filling on top of the pie crust and put it in your oven for about 40 to 45 minutes. Once out of the oven, either serve hot or cold and with cream or ice cream according to your preference.

Many people think that free of gluten means the pie crust will not be crusty enough and it won't taste good. The reality is, if you don't tell anyone, they won't even notice that the pie crust is gluten free because it tastes the same and the texture is similar as well.

Just like a normal pie, this type of pie is also easy to execute. You don't have to follow any complex recipes or spend more time in the kitchen to make something like that. It is simple to make and tastes the same as well.

Many people think that they cannot make something like this at home and its only shop bought. Although there are so many varieties available in the market but at the same time, it is possible to prepare some of your own at home if you prefer. Just follow the recipe and your pie will turn out just as you desired.
